Is it normal to be very mean when high?

When I smoke weed I notice (and others have too) that I become mean. I just end up not giving a fuck and seem to have very little patience and tolerance when it comes to certain things or actions people do.
Normally I am very sweet person and would never act the way I do when I'm high. I also seem to be a bit more selfish as well, which is completely the opposite of my personality.

Obviously I know the answer is to quit smoking and I probably will.
But was just wondering if this is a normal experience for people who smoke weed? Or if they know anyone who smokes and acts the same?

    I haven't got enough information, but I couldn't help imagining that maybe (only maybe)
    it could be that you are too nice to everyone all the time, like you put other people's needs before yours, and the when you smoke (as it seems to give you like another perspective) you see things more clearly and think of yourself first.

    Have you had that feeling?
    Does anyone understand what I'm talking about?

    Fuck weed. I cant smoke it because i get either paranoid or easly annoyed. ive hallucinated before while high too. cant smoke it, don't like it, but it should be legal

      Positive it hasn't. My friend grows some at her house as well and I've tried many different strains of it. I think it just makes me lack empathy or something when I'm high. I guess weed effects everyone differently i don't know.
      Because I've also noticed once when my friend started crying about her fighting with her boyfriend I just started laughing non stop. I'd never do that when I was sober I had to apologize. I just guess when I'm high i absolutely don't give any fucks. lol

        It must be stimulating or under-stimulating certain areas of your brain, the areas that effect emotion. Your right, not everyone is going to be effected the exact same way by a substance.

          Oh that makes sense I guess. I guess I'm just not going to smoke.
          That's why it should become legal so i could tell a freaking doctor my symptoms and they can give me the right strain or something. :/ idk

    Yeah my boyfriend is awful when he's had a joint, or a drink, but he thinks he's fine which is even more frustrating.

    it is normal to experience mood changes while under the influence of mind-altering chemicals. Personally, I've never gotten mad while smoking weed. On the other hand, I can be a surly mean drunk if i let my drinking get the best of me, which doesn't happen that often or I'd b a recluse, and not by choice.

    Well, I'm the same way, sometimes when i smoke a lot I get angry easliy... but my friends... (the ones that i get angry with) they're drug friends. They aren't nice. And they use me, and fuck my car up, trash it, (being honest and yeah ik have a problem with bad relationships and this is the internet so fuck it!) and when I smoke everyday, I start to not give a fuck about keeping those friends, so I get mad at them for the tiniest things.. but in reality i'm just angry bc i just wish I never was so close to those types of people. So i guess weed helps me weed those fucking people out! It sucks when they are mad at you for being a dick, but I look back now and am glad I don't have users in my life!! Idk thats just me.

    I had a boyfriend in college who was a jerk when he was high on weed. I guess it was making him overly apathetic so he didn't give a shit, but it's not valid excuse to act like an asshole.

    I used to get like that when Id chase heroin. But not weed. Weed is chill and makes u chill. Not all angry and impatient.

    i would advise you to get high when you are alone if it makes you feel better. if it doesn't, then just quit getting high. yes people do have mood swings, it's okay if you don't care but snapping at people can leave you friendless.
