Is it normal to be upset since you do not like the same thing as someone else?

I got in trouble for saying I do not like the same things as someone else. Like if someone is a fanatic about spiders I said "Well I am not really into spiders". Is this rude? I mean I did not understand how this is messed up. I mean that is like saying "I love red"! and someone being upset for you liking blue. I mean does this mean I am awful? I thought most people excepted that you had different taste. I mean if you say something like "I am christian" and someone says "God is fake" well that is kind of messed up. However if you simply say "I am a different religion or I do not believe" I think most Christians/Cathlocs would would give you a right to believe in something else. They might possibly try to convert you but a good christian would not say "Well you will burn in hell for it". If they believed it true or not.

    I often feel bad when someone likes something and they ask me if I like it but I don't. The opposite is also the case - if someone close to me really doesn't like something, then I will feel bad if I want to try it and enjoy it.

    As an example, I have a really close friend who is a fan of trains but hates Harry Potter. I'm the opposite - I sort of like Harry Potter and I don't understand the appeal of trains. I feel bad because of it.

    Hm ok ima use the relgion as example wen someone says stuff about "god" or "gods" and u don't beilve the same like ur atheist just say there's no real pysical proof of his and hers existance (depending on relgion) uno if u don't agree wit someone and want to coment say it in frendly way don't be rude like it sounded at begining. And yea well I hope this makes sense lol and yea
