Is it normal to be uncomfortable with your girlfriend because of her past?

So I've been going out with my girlfriend for about half an year now, and I've been getting to know more and more about her. I've been a bit uncomfortable with my girlfriend's past. Right before she went clean after meeting me, she used to smoke weed all day and pop e everyday and do other bad things. I've seen her change after meeting me. She stopped hanging out with friends that she used do all those drugs with and she's really changed for the better. Her best friend since childhood led her to all this and she broke apart from her but recently they got back together. She says she won't turn back to doing all those things again but she's been doing it for so long I'm afraid she might turn to it again. Is it normal to feel uncomfortable about what might happen since she got back with her friend? or if she'll turn back to those things even without her best friend?

It happened before you met her, we have all made mistakes which we learn from. It would mean a lot to her if you truly entrusted her not to revert to her old ways. If you are always thinking she will go back, then she will be more likely to because she has been given a negative reputation to live up to. The same however is true when you give someone a positive reputation...they live up to it.

Love her, trust her, and enjoy life together.

I'm sure she knows that you wouldn't approve and probably doesn't want to lose you, so I doubt she'll go backwards in her life. A case of 'been there, done that!'

Just keep her away from enablers and you will be fine.

It's totally normal to worry and you obviously care so just let her know you are there for her and support her as best you can. :)

Have a bit of faith in her, but also keep an eye on her. As a boyfriend, maybe you should offer some guidance.
