Is it normal to be uncomfortable with going on a date with my boyfriend?

I've been dating my boyfriend for about 5 months. We were friends for a year before and I consider us to be pretty much best friends that are dating. However, for some reason I feel uncomfortable when he wants to go out on a date. I just get this strange feeling in my stomach. We've never gone on a real date before since my parents won't let me be alone with him (even to the movies). He's also my 2nd boyfriend, but sorta like my first since the technical first boyfriend was from 8th grade.

He's a great guy, I'm totally comfortable with talking to him, walking around with him, but when it comes to going on a date and being alone with him I just have a feeling of "umm no I'm not comfortable with that" Is it normal to feel this way?

    Do you like dates in general? Maybe you are just like me and just don't like dates - it may have nothing to do with your boyfriend.

      That just might be it. I don't usually like getting out of the house much. I prefer not being busy!

    If you are uncomfortable going on a date then you might be just too young.

    You could be not confortable on dating because u arent used to date

    You say that you consider yourselves "best friends who are dating" and you're not comfortable being alone with him, so maybe you just aren't romantically attracted to him. Maybe you're better off as friends?

      I've considered that, we split up before because of it but I realized that I really do like him romantically and as a best friend. *shrug*
