Is it normal to be unable to tell of you're attractive?

I can never tell if I am attractive just by looking at myself in the mirror. I can take a good selfie but otherwise I photograph horribly.

I got told once I am a 6/10 and I'd probably agree and am ok with this BUT I do seem to get a couple of guys hitting on me every week - usually random customers/colleagues at work.

So, I have no idea if I am attractive or not? I wonder if people who are actually definitely attractive also have this problem?

    Many years ago I was at a bar with my then boyfriend. Some drunk fuckface stumbled by and told me I was the ugliest girl he'd ever seen. The following weekend at the same bar I was stared at for a while before I said WHAAAATT?!?! This dude proceeded to tell my boyfriend how beautiful I was and he wished he had a girl like me. I'd say I'm a 5 or so, so it made sense that I was seen as both hideous and lovely through other people's eyes :)

    Moral of the story is that attractiveness is subjective and not everyone will find you good looking yet some will find you flawless.

      Not only are you beautiful, but you're interesting, which makes you awesomenessish. You collect rusty things and craft poems and you love the 90's music and you're artsy and clever and funny and you have the cute puppies. You probably smell like ferret farts and warm brownies mixed with incense and comic books you read whilst pooping. You have smexy dreads that touch your buttcheeks.

    If you're not repulsively hideous you're probably someone's type. This 1 - 10 bangability scale doesen't mean anything. If a guy needs to rate you as a number - F*ck that guy! I mean don't f*ck him ... You know what I mean.
    The "super hot" girls are like pop-songs. Everybody kinda likes them but they're nobody's favourite. You're probably more like heavy metal - Some don't like it at all but others love it more than anything.

    You are probably unattractive to a lot of people. You are probably attractive to a number of people.

    If there is some degree of objective attractiveness, statistically speaking, you are most likely to be average.
