Is it normal to be this much of a pink floyd fan?

I have been a proud Pink Floyd's fan since I was 12. I absolutely love them, I love their music, their lyrics, the sounds. I have Pink Floyd tatted on my arm, I own all of their albums, I have poster in my room, I can listen to them for hours and not get a bit tired of it. You get the point. However, none of the people of my generation listen to music like this, majority of them don't even know who they are. And when I mention this to older people they seem really suprised. I don't really like "todays" music, and some people judge me because of it. Is it normal for a young person to love Pink Floyd this much? Is it normal I don't like modern music? Should I start listening to modern music?

    I started listening to them as a teen too. (I was a teen in the 90's)

    They are one of the best for sure!!!!

    I only like "The Wall", most prog is too pretentious (read: hipster-ish) for me. But it's cool, a lot of people love it.

    It's very unlikely that you find teenagers these days that know what good music is. All they listen to is that crap that they play now with auto-tune and a billion other things that edit their voices to make them sound like screaming cats being dragged across a room.

    Im not saying all teenagers are like that but only a handful actually listen to decent music.

    Im a teenager and this is COMPLETELY normal :)

    means you're smarter that all the stupid people that are into modern music. i love pink floyd too. i have all of their faces on my wall and i'm planning to get a division bell tattoo.

    Totally awesome band, and my favorite too! You shouldn't feel pressured to listen to more modern music if you don't want to. It's actually refreshing to know of more youths liking this music.

    Pink floyd is my favorite artist of all time. I even want to watch the movie of "The wall" while on acid.
