    Not really, no.

Being Greek isn't some achievement warranting great pride or obsession.

There's nothing wrong with being comfortable with and interested in your heritage - it's part of your identity. But it shouldn't be everything that you are. You're a multifaceted individual.

Did you just watch "My Big Fat Greek Wedding?"

It's fine to be proud of your ethnicity, but people who go over the top tend to annoy others around them. I myself am proud of my heritage, but some of it feels rather obscure. I'm half Colombian and half American. I'm of Spanish, German, Welsh and Scot-Irish descent mostly. I'm especially proud of my Welsh ancestry, but for a long time I was ashamed of being Scot-Irish. I'm German on both sides and quite proud, but I deeply resent the way some people in our politically correct society always speak ill of Germans and seem to think it's okay. I also deeply resent the way people automatically associate Colombians with drugs.

Regarding the Scot-Irish thang I used to just say I was Irish and Scottish. I like to think it's somewhat true to some small degree.

Sure why not take pride it's a good thing as you say it's a part of who you are. On another note I kinda wish I was Italian
