Is it normal to be so forgetful?

I'm 20 years old and I'm always forgetting everything. I'm not exaggerating--I used to keep a notebook of things I wanted to remember (stuff I needed to do, how my day went, when I got up and went to bed, etc), and at one time was carrying around 4 different reminder things. I've got a to-do list that's about 10 pages of things I need to remember to do. I'm starting to worry, because I'm forgetting things within two minutes of thinking of them--if I think of doing something while I'm in the shower, I'm more likely to have forgotten by the time I finish than not. I forget important things, like brushing my teeth and taking my meds. I went to the doctor the other day for a physical and mentioned it (along with headaches) and she just shrugged off the headaches and said they were from my medications and didn't even mention the memory problems. I used to be okay, but now...not so much. Should I be really concerned?

There are many, many memory exercise sites and lessons on the web. If you really care, that's how you are going to solve this problem, period.
