Is it normal to be sentimental about the climate of my childhood?

Like many of you I consider myself a”1990s child.” What I miss the most about the decade is not the shows (despite being the best decade for kids cartoon) or that it was the last decade children grew up without instant access to technology; for me, it was climate.

Now summers are too hot and not gloomy enough.

I grew up in the Midwest, and during this decade we had unusually mild winters that were followed by cool, stormy summers - it was a temperate decade. We haven’t had as many summers where you could fall asleep to lightning strikes and pounding rains, I miss the tornado warnings that seem to happen less often and further south.

I remember what autumn was like when I was a kid. Crisp air, leaves were so vibrant, cloudy, chilly enough for hats and mittens. Now it's way too hot. :(

    • Autumn seems to be fair he season that has warmed the most. I would say winter as well, although winters temps have been more sporadic.
