Is it normal to be really obsessed with celebrities/ fame/ teen heartthrobs

I wake up and go to bed thinking of my favorite celebs, and how I could meet or be them. I fantasize about myself being in their lives instead of them. I dream of having Michael Jackson's fame, and what not. When I listen to an artist, I visualize me being the one performing their songs instead of them. I look at their pictures, watch their videos, and suck up everything about them whenever I can. I was like this since I was little. I'm a guy, and almost every teen boy that has come out since I was little, I always wished I was in their shoes. The first person I remembered wanting to be like was Usher, then Lil Bow Wow, Joe Jonas, Omarion, Chris Brown, Zac Efron, Taylor Lautner, Leonardo DiCaprio, and a young Michael Jackson. When having conversations with people, the only topic that I invest most input in is the topic about celebs. Everything else I'm sort of oblivious too, unless it's sex. When I have my 9 to 5 jobs, they're hard to take serious because I wish I was famous. I just think it's cool to have all of the experiences that celebs have. I'd love to venture the world, be adored by people, feel like I have a gift, and leave my mark on the world.

    I hate celebrities, but I imagine it's "normal" since so many people follow them.

    My personal advice... kill your idols.

    What then, if you became famous ?

    I'm sure you would still compare yourself to other celebrities and wish how you were as great as them if you were famous.

    I think in life you have to remember that there will always be people lesser and greater than you, you just have to remember to be happy in your own skin.

    You shouldn't let this obsession come before other things in your life, like your job, friends,and family. Also it's border-line creepy to be completely obsessed with something/someone to the point where it's always on your mind.

    Keep your dreams in mind, but remember you don't have to be famous to be wonderful :)

    Oh God! I used to be in LOVE with Omarion and I've always had a thing for Zac Efron Loool!! Now I'm in love with someone else ;)

    I know EXACTLY how you feel. I'm a girl so I always fantasize about being their girlfriend/wife and I always imagine what it would be like to live their type of lifestyle. Thats all i think in school other than sex. Which is also exactly like you said. I don't talk about my obsession with certain celebrities at school because I feel weird and awkward. I feel like there are some celebs who I can relate to on some level and I feel somewhat closer to them - if that makes any sense.

    Anyhow, it is my dream to become rich and/or famous myself. I dream about this every night and its what motivates me. I already have a huge list of the countries that I want to visit and what I do if I had tons of money. Sometimes I even think of how I would interact with my fans.

    So yeaah its normal to me :). I felt like I wrote this story myself ^_^

        Thank you! And oh no Loool! Tbh I'm not sure who cody simpson is and I'm fairly fond of Justin but I don't love him and definitely not in love.

        Hmm...its very nerve wracking for some reason when exposing my crush because I don't think people know him that well or if they do, they don't like him. Not only that but whenever I tell people who it is, they are extremely shocked that I would choose this person.

        Hmmm... if you want to know then I'll give you 3 guesses and if you don't guess it...I'll tell you ^_^

          Devon Bostic (He's the guy who plays Rodrick in "Diary of A Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules")

          Haha, these are guys who are known but they aren't big like Bieber or anything. I've seen alot of girls talk about them though.

            Haahaa!! I love your effort but nope neither of them. To be honest I've never heard of them -_-'' Lool But I will say that the Devon guy looks really familiar although I've never seen that movie. Hmmm...maybe I made a gross exaggeration on my crush not being known.

            Anywho a deal is a deal. And the person I like is James Franco. (The guy from Spiderman movies or more recently, Rise Of the Apes) I think he is stunning Lool ^_^

              I know who he is, he plays in all of those movies with Seth Rogen. Well, he was in "Pineapple Express" and "Knocked Up". Oh, and he played in "Date Night" too. He's awkward but cool and funny. I think he's a great actor.

    Well, spokeo is the worst thing invented. Thanks to that, I now know where my celebrity lives. I dream about slashing my tire in front of his house and go ask him for help. ha! yeah pretty fucked up.

    Do you have talent at all? You could become famous. Bieber got famous from You-Tube, believe it or not. And at least you want to be like MJ when he was young, before he got real messed up...

      I can draw, act, and write stories. I'm very good at visualizing music, like I can see a story or something for songs. I guess that directing/video directing. I'd like to do some voice acting as well.

    I've used cardboard cut-outs of most of the people you mentioned as targets at one time or another. I remember blowing a large, clean hole directly through the center of Michael Jackson's face with some nickel-plated buckshot.

            He and I are one. My account got erased, or I might have forgotten my password. I left because a story that I worked hard on was not approved, even though it was neither obscene, nor an obvious trolling attempt. It was about fruit gushers candy.

            I came back because there just aren't very many forums where you can say whatever the Hell you want, like IIN. I get kicked out of forums all the time, even serious ones devoted to technical subjects. I'm very argumentative, apparently.

              Yeah, there seems to be very little censorship on IIN. You might find this odd but I get kicked out of places often too. Especially places that are heavily censored.

              I don't let things go and if I feel I've been unfairly judged, I get into a conversation about it which usually involves the moderator becoming increasingly angry at my persistence to get to the truth.

              When they're someone with very little power in their lives who get a little thrill from bossing people around on the internet, they don't like having to explain themselves or having someone question them intelligently.

              I know this makes me sound annoying but I genuinely am pretty annoying when I care about something, like I care about censorship. I've seen some dreadful things here but I'm glad people are able to say them.

              Shame your story didn't get through. Did you keep a copy?
