Is it normal to be pissed at a reckless moto rider lying dead in the street?

Is it normal to be pissed off at a dead reckless motorcycle rider lying in the street? This 22 year old idiot was found by investigators to be riding reckless and speeding through a busy 7 lane intersection and creamed into the side of some innocent lady drivers car and killed himself. The cops closed down the intersection and re-routed everyone around through parking lots for an hour or so while they conducted their investigation. I was one of the first cars upon the wreck (and I ride motorcycles near daily, so I'm not some moto hater, but I admit to hating careless drivers), but it was an obvious motorcycle speeding wreck (which was also the conclusion of the investigation). My feeling was that I wanted to run over the rider with my own car also for his causing everyone such trouble (and costs of taxpayer dollars) with his selfish reckless riding choice. When it comes to selfish driving accidents, I seem to lack all compassion for the one who causes the "accident". (I think they should not be called "accidents" and should be renamed to "foolish outcomes" to best describe reckless driving.)

Some police I know here in Australia refuse to call them accidents OP.

Instead they refer to them as collisions, inferring there is always a reason to the incedent... Not pure accident.

    You and me both, buddy.
But my hatred extends to any totally careless driver who thinks that they're so important that they can put everyone else's life at risk as well.

As another motorcycle rider, I agree 100%.

Whenever I'm in my car and one of them comes racing past me, weaving through traffic at a dangerous speed I get pissed off. It's these assholes that give bikers a bad reputation. Why can't they just all ride responsibly like I do.

I also hate the car drivers who's carelessness causes an accident with an innocent motorcyclist.

In Short: Anyone who drives like an irresponsible asshole deserves the hatred of other road users, regardless what vehicle he operates.

But don't you think that sometimes going faster than other people doesn't necessarily mean you're irresponsible?

I'm annoyed by them as well. The worst part is the person he crashed into is probably going to get sued even though it wasn't her fault.

I'm serious. Something similar happened in the town I live in when I was a kid. The family of the dead idiot motorcyclist successfully sued the dude driving the car. It wasn't even the driver's fault and he wound up paying for the motorcycle idiot's stupidity. People sue for anything these days.

My opinion isn't popular but I'd ban all personal transportation that requires an energy source other than an animal or human. That'd solve your problem too.

And no, I'm not Amish. I'd have nuclear trains. :P

  • same as people standing on the train tracks , the driver suffers , so selfish. its a shame they cant learn a lesson with out dying first, that is annoying, good points you said

Your reaction is understandable to an extent.

I would hate on the dead moto rider for what his stupidity did to the innocent lady driver.

Even if you technically know there was nothing you could do and it was their own fault, one usually will end up wondering if they had gone a bit slower, or had been even more careful...if they could have prevented this death somehow.
That stuff can seriously scar people emotionally.

The tax money? Na, not worried about that, i'll gladly have them pay that, young dead motorcycle riders are a prime source of useable organs for transplantation. I see it as my money going into live for other people. But as said, what they do to the people involved in their deadly stunt, for that i'll despise them beyond death.
