Is it normal to be nostalgic for a show i never watched?

I'm nostalgic for the older My Little Pony series (especially gen 1). But I don't recall ever watching it growing up (I'd love to watch it now if I could find DVDs of it). My Little Pony came out in 1984 but I was born in 1993. I have watched Friendship Is Magic though. IIN?

    Most of my current interests are based on things from before my time.

    I was born in 1992, but I have a collection of 1980s video Games and computers, a vintage car (and truck), rock music on vynl, a Honda Three Wheeler, and the three stooges on DVD, all of which I love dearly and all before my time.

    With a few exceptions, I'm practically nostalgic to everything vintage! It helped I grew up with antique collector parents, who now run a antiques store!, and a neighbor with a massive collection of classic Mopar (Dodge, chrysler,plymouth) vehicles!

    I'm quite nostalgic for the gen 1 Pokémon anime, and I never watched it. This is pretty normal.
