Is it normal to be nomadic?

Ok I was talking with a friend and he was telling me all the places hes been lived visited whatever and I asked if he didn't just want to be at home. And he said he has no home he is nomadic. So we talked about what that means but it still seems odd to not want to be home. Maybe me and him just have different ideas of what home is thats what he said anyway.

      Sometimes he wears a cowboy hat depends on the show. He's travelled the world places I never heard of.
