Is it normal to be nervous about letting a girl know i have feelings for her?

I like this girl at work but the problem is she is two years older than me, and she is even the same height as me (5'8). I know most women prefer relationships with older guys who are also taller than them, so I'm afraid to show her that I am interested. She is very nice to me and respectful and all that but it might just be her personality to be friendly around everyone.

    Nothing happened naturally for me from past six years even though beautiful girls were showing interest year by year and I kept losing opportunities by getting nervous and could not talk to anyone. I am 24 now and back to home from college and few girls in neighbourhood are showing interest.
