Is it normal to be like this

I tend to fall in-like with girls a heck of a lot faster online than in normal life.

I would talk to a person face to face and her personality would be so lackluster that i'll just lose interest and go away. I'm a firm believer in being stimulated mentally.
In an online environment it is much easier for me to attract good people. I can immediately tell who the people with essence are.

On here, for example, 'remeniscent' is the one who, in my opinion, has the most substance.

So... why can't we invent a personality machine and shoot everybody with it?

For me at least it is easier to connect online. In real life you're distracted by looks and it can be quite awkward to talk to people. But online you just see the person's personality and intelligence and don't get that much anxiety and can block them if things don't go well.

I think its good to be mentally stimulated.

Are you saying as soon as you meet an online friend in real life that you tend to loose interest because they seem to lack the personality they had online?

    • Yes, we can include that in the mix as well.

Also, people in real life, you know the ones who tell people who is online a lot to 'get a life', have nothing to offer. They are so bland.

I find that people who enjoy talking to other people online are more intellectual, creative and can keep a conversation going.

The ones, like you, who are very nice and basically very pleasant people, théy are the people I wish everyone could be

Im pretty much the same online as I am in real life... some people are more shy in rl and that can cause the personality to be absent when you see them in rl. I am not shy in rl.

I have never had anyone tell me to "get a real life" but I have had people inform me that my online friends are not real friends...but I have a small group of friends online I maintain a close friendship with...when one of them passed away it was very devastating and then I had to hear from someone that he wasnt a real friend.

Thank you I find no joy in being intentionally cruel to people.

I agree with dovahkinndread you are not distracted by appearances online and can see a persons personality before looks.
