Is it normal to be irritated by all the posts saying 'you should see a doctor'?

Well I've noticed that almost every story I go to one or two people have said 'you should go see a doctor' or something of that nature. Most of these people I believe do not need to seek a doctor. I read of a girl who loved stuffed animals. Someone said she should go see a doctor. Rediculous is it not? But however I do understand that some people really do need to seek doctors. (Ex. A phobia affecting every day life) so I am not ruling out doctors entirely. But most of the time the situations in which people say that the person needs to seek a doctor is utterly rediculous. Is it normal to feel this way or am I just being crabby?

  • I think the best solution for your problem would be going to see a doctor.

Yeah often it seems to be used as in insult, especially towards people with unusual fetishes. like if someone likes to be urinated on some people think they should get electric shock treatment and get put in a straight jacket.

  • Exactly. It's almost like people only read the headline and then write. But of coarse sometimes it is necessary to tell the person to go see a doctor. I'm evening ot both sides here.

    Hmmmmm.
I think a lot of the people who post here need to see a doctor, or a psychologist. Especially the people who are depressed and cutting themselves.

Lmao, yep. One time, I asked a question that even said "I went to my doctor and he didn't know what it was" yet I literally had 3 responses that were like, "Well, ask your doctor", "go see a doctor", etc.

    So annoying.

Aside from the "Hey my leg is falling off my body, IIN!?" posts where it seems pretty obvious to most people that seeing a doctor would happen BEFORE they get on the IIN some people DO bring problems to the table they're confused about simply because they don't have the knowledge. Even with that said though, google could probably help you initially figure out your OCD, phobia, depression...etc faster and cheaper than a doctor would.
