Im 21 and hes 30 and I like him a lot! Im not sure if its in that way as I have never had a relationship before. Is 9 years difference too much if I give dating a go??

As long as you two of age and are consenting adults, I don't think anyone should judge.
You don't have to measure age in years. You can measure it in mutual interests, stage in life, mindset towards important questions and so on.
My grandparents are nine years apart. When my grandma was having her first child with her first husband my grandpa was 14. As you get older it won't be a big deal!
I would highly recommend that you pursue this relationship. If he is a single man, and a nice one, then you could probably not do better for your first relationship.

Thank you! He is amazing person, very intelligent, mature and respectful. In fact im surprised he would be interested in me since even though I can be mature I have a crazy happy loud side to me. Though he has never had that opportunity to see that side of me.
It could be no big deal. I was 10 years older than my gf and age was never an issue.
9 years is not that much. It barely registers when you're both in your 30's or 40's. Love can easily overcome such a mild age gap.
If you are interested in him, and he is back. Who cares? Go for it, but be warned couples with big age gaps tend to last only a few months...
