No, that would be irritating as hell. That's very disrespectful of them and I personally wouldn't tolerate it.
I would honestly say that it depends entirely on the situation.
If you are a jerk to your partner and his/her friend is only trying to protect their friend I would say that it's a normal and healthy thing to do.
If you are doing nothing wrong and this person just fucks with you because they can, no your partner should steer clear of them.
I would not keep a friend that disrespected my partner, to question if I am happy is one thing but to constantly trying to create shit out of nothing-NO.
