Is it normal to be fixated about being the leader of a group of friends?

I have this friend of mine that is quite nice. He always suggests activities and invites me and our friends to his home. We play games, watch movies, eat outside and many other activities.

However, lately I have been noticing how we are actually always doing what this friend wants. We play the games he wants to play, watch only the movies he likes, eat what he wants, etc. I notice that he actually gets kind of annoyed whenever someone suggests a change in something he has already decided. He also gets quite bitchy if he knows someone in the group have been hanging out without him.

We now have some new acquaintances that always make activities in their home, but this friend of mine doesn't want to do anything with them... I suspect it is mostly because he doesn't want to be in some activity he hasn't organized.

I don't know... I would like to know if I have to be worried or do something about his attitude. So, is this normal? and, what should I do?

    I'm that person. Don't let him/her be a tyrant.

It is normal. However it isn't normal in people of 18+ age groups. Maybe he wasn't taught that it is important to respect everyone's opinion. Talk to him about this. I'm kinda like him. I also hate it when my group of friends don't do things that i want. But i keep quiet because i know everyone should have their own say. It is important to maintain your friendship. Tell him this. Good luck :)
