Is it normal to be extremely patriotic about russia if you're american?

I have a divine interest in Russia, the Soviet Union, and communism in general, but I was born in the US and an American citizen. I feel somewhat the same about China and the Nazis, and sometimes I would enjoy seeing the Soviet Union prevail against a war between us and them.

Should I just like the US as it is? Or think it's pure shit and want to move somewhere else in the world?

Maybe not normal, but certainly I wouldn't say it was weird. Maybe there is something political or cultural that you identify with Russia and this speaks to your own value and belief system in a way the US doesn't.

    • I think it's just communistic belief and the way the Soviet Union portrays itself as awesome to me.

The key word here is "portrays". Watch less movies about communist Russia and move stuff on YouTube so you can see what fucked up white trash they are.

I think I kinda understand where your coming from I love the military uniforms from fascist states they are just so hot. Which in the case of the Nazis was becos they were designed by Hugo Boss. Beyond that I can't get into the politics of it cos those are failed states as are all fascist states whether they know it yet or not.

The U.S. isn't for you. It is dominated by chaos, free markets, unrestrained wealth creation, and illogical advertising aimed at the feeble minded masses. Politicians, demagogues, and other hypocritical loud-mouths claim credit for secret military technology, internet break-thrus, and even claim to have developed toaster waffles.

I like it here. But, you need a country with dreary, predictable order. If infrastructure in your country is broken, or waiting lines are long, at least you and your fellow citizens will all suffer equally.

You're not very well informed are you? The soviet union no longer exists!

Why not move to North Korea if you're so keen on authoritarian regimes and see how you like actually living in one? Or there's always Audi Arabia .....

    • I know the Soviet Union is gone, I'm just saying that I liked their ideals. And North Korea is loosing it's regime.

Which ideals were they? There's nothing much wrong with the ideals of communism, but how it was interpreted and used in the former USSR to oppress and murder millions of people was hardly in accordance with those ideals. If you really want to know what it would be like living under such a regime there are many books & documentaries to learn from and in particular I'd recommend Stasiland by Anna Funder about life in East Germany before the wall came down, when approximately 1 in 5 members of the population was spying on others for the government. Do you really think you'd like to live under those conditions or do you fantasise about being one of the people in charge?

What on earth do you mean about North Korea loosing (sic) it's (sic) regime?

You say that like your gov leaders don't do the same thing.

On wait, the US leaders don't do that because the US people choose to turn a blind eye.

I also would like to move to either China or Russia, but my reason is they feel like the only Real places to spend life. Everywhere else feels just for vacation or never go. This doesn't mean it doesn't make sense to me for others to be born or live there. But I am also from Us and it seems fake and new. China and Russia are big and old and many people live there. I would like to live somewhere very big and old with lots of people cities and nature. It is a human energy I feel, illuminati exists not that they are the most fun places, but they have longevity. They also oddly share some border.

is it me or there's a world wide tendency for voters to see dictatorial personalities as bad-ass ? Americans have it a lot better than Russians when it comes to life standards.

Since that piss ant Putin is once again strutting around the international barnyard like a cook looking for a chicken, trying to bring back the 'Evil Empire' so he can be it's king, you might actually get to see his Russian ass soundly spanked again.
The international community immediately bankrupted Russia after the Crimean incident, dramatically dropping the price of oil, yet that little piss ant still thinks he's more than the piece of shit dictator he is.
Sorry but once again, Russia would not come out top dog in any confrontation that involved an army more sophisticated than a bunch of muslim radicals.
