I've been going to this bar in my neighborhood for the past 7 years and I have come to care about the staff and their lives, particularly the handsome and charming manager. He used to flirt with me and say we were friends but lately he ignores me or treats me completely businesslike. Is it normal that this hurts my feelings?
Did you ever attempt to date or mess around with this guy in any way? I don't expect you to necessarily answer my query if it makes you uncomfortable, but I would say if he messed with you it's his fault for shitting where he eats. Also I would highly recommend that you don't take people who work as wait staff or bartenders very seriously, because oftentimes they're overly friendly, bubbly and vivacious so people will tip them well. I'm sorry this is happening to you. Try to get your drinks from someone else if you can. If he's ever rude to you another thing you could do is to complain directly to the owner.
I'm not trying to make any assumptions or accuse you of anything, but I suspect the feathered one may be onto something. I could be wrong of course.
A lot of people are jerks, and it sounds like this bartender is one of them.
