Is it normal to be embarrassed about having more money and functional family?

I live in a small town in Arkansas. Very few people are above poverty. Also, almost everyone has a dysfunctional family and a terrible home life. My family is just above the poverty line and only slightly dysfunctional (at least my immediate family), but we're doing great for someone in this town. I try to make it seem like we're not as well off as we actually are, but I can't completely hide my house and lifestyle from everyone. I don't want to have a crappy screwed up life and be dead broke. I just want it to seem like it to other people. I just don't want to be seen as spoiled.

Normal but you shouldn't be shy about it. If other people hate on you or find it offensive then it's their problem.

You're fine, Stay happy, that's a good feeling to have.. Help others. Don't feel bad about your wealth or success.. Share it. You really succeed when you help further everyone.

Normal to try to fit in, I guess. But, hey, if someone's so set on liking or not liking you just because of the stuff you have - or haven't got - then they,re just not worth the fuss. They like you for being you - or don.t bother with them, bro. Yo.
