You gotta go to hawaii for like 1 year.
Will cure everything
Go around hunting whales or doing whatever those crazy natives do XD
Mental illness is not normal. If you feel this way, contact a therapist. Also, look up the difference between asocial and Anti-Social Personality Disorder.
Maybe you're anemic or hypothyroid? Got any physical symptoms accompanying this low or irritable mood?
Are you living in a stressful environment?
Do you not get enough sleep?
Sometimes, depression stems from a physiological cause, so rule them out first.
Surprised no one mentioned this yet.
Do that, and then if you're overall healthy, then you're free to step towards therapy itself.
I see people saying i need medical helo but I'm not sure if I do. I don't hate myself and I'm not suicidal. I just find it impossoble to stay or be happy. Video games distract me a little but everything else just kills me inside. I find myself locked in my room 99% of the time and hate having to actually speak to anyone.
I actually agree with this to a point, having been in this situation myself. You have to REALLY watch which doctors OR psychologists you go to, because there are a few out there that are highly unskilled and don't know how to treat anything without medications. Medications can be good for some, but they can be devastating for others, and were for me. Actually, antidepressants and anxiety meds caused me to be severely depressed and nearly drove me to suicide. They also caused me to gain weight and made my temper much worse, and they impaired my judgment as well. It's important to be very careful with mind altering drugs. In this drug-ridden and over-medicated society, people forget how powerful these drugs are, and they are a factor in our drug epidemic as well.
Do seek help if you are depressed, but if you do decide to try medications, make sure to pay close attention to any changes you may experience. If you feel worse, wean yourself off of those medications IMMEDIATELY. Do NOT let any professional talk you into taking more or other medications. This is what nearly killed me.
No they aren't. Psychiatrists are doctors, psychologists are not. They are counselors but can't actually prescribe meds themselves.
Both a Psychologist and a Psychiatrist are Doctors however they get different types of medical training. Psychologists can't prescribe drugs because of their medical training however Psychiatrists can because of theirs. They are both counted as doctors.
I'm not talking prescribing meds. meds don't help everything. theres many other things, such as CBT, that a doctor would use to try and help beforehand. meds are a kind of a last resort.
