Is it normal to be critical of self and everyone else

Is it normal to be overly critical of myself and everyone else? Trust me, I wish I was not this way. I am actively trying to change how I think about myself and others because it's so exhausting and emotional, I hate it.

Has anyone else experienced this? I find most of my peers in my grad school cohort annoying, personality wise. I'm no peach either, I think this is a pattern.

If you have experienced, did you get out of that thinking pattern and how?

Maybe you should use the toilet to release all that shit you are carrying.

Maybe your parents were overly critical people, and they passed that character defect on to you?

I'm the my harshest judge and that doesn't make it bad. This honestly is the best way to progress. You wouldn't progress or get better ever if you just label everyone that critics you a "hater". Just don't go too hard on yourself or others. Btw, don't just annoy people. Try to be nice.
TL; DR: it's okay just don't be a bitch to people
