Is it normal to be critical of ourselves?

Criticizing our physical appearance, our performance, whether we did good enough, etc. I notice I'm critical of myself and how I do but I feel like I'm the only one that cares. I know when I see others fail or mess up I take notice of it for a second but I don't really care afterwards. It's not like I hold it against them, if I did it would say more about me than them. It's strange how we care so much about ourselves when nobody actually does. Do you agree?

Everybody is the star of their own show. Thus, everyone is also an extra for everybody else's.

    It is normal.

We are often our harshest critics.
