Is it normal to be completely disinterested in celebrities?

I feel like I live in a world where everyone is obsessed with famous people, yet I take no interest? Girls talk about how hot people like Channing Tatum are and guys gawk over Selena Gomez or Jennifer Lawrence, yet I am completely not attracted to any celebrity. My boyfriend says that my lack of interest in celebs is not normal. Is he right? Should I care about these people? I just can't bring myself to be interested in their lives. I am interested in the lives of the people I love and I find a lot of celebrities are useless and put their fame to waste. I have also never had a celebrity crush or pined over a "hot" actor. My female acquaintances say they often fantasize about male actors, but I have never experienced this phenomena...
