Is it normal to be bothered by the fact that your gf has had sex with other guy

Both I and my girlfriend of six months are 19 years old. Neither of us were virgins when we met, and we both have our fair share of sexual exploits.

Occasionally these stories come up in conversation and it bothers me to think that she has had sex with other men. I do not know exactly how many, but most likely between 5 and 15.

I do not expect anyone my age to be virgin and I am not holding her to that standard. It just really, REALLY bothers me when this comes up/ I think of it. Is this normal?

    Not only is it normal, but that feeling will get ten times worse after your married.

    Agreed, just don't think of it. That was her past. I'm sure you have done things in your past she wouldn't like too much either.

    But I get what u mean. I don't like thinking about the fact other women were with my man. Lol makes me mad and sick. But they aren't with him now, I am. It's weird to be jealous of their past but it happens. Just don't think of it.

    no its not normal that you are bothered but its pretty common for kids your age. im sure when you mature, you will get over it.

    Then don't talk about it. Her romantic life before you met her / started dating her is none of your business. If you are harshly judgmental of her past, you risk pushing her away.

    That being said, be sure you wear a condom.
