Sounds like a Freudian thing to me. Hahaha... Or maybe it has something to do with your inner child and your relationships with your parents or perhaps what you wish those relationships had been. John Bradshaw writes a lot of stuff on the inner child. I wouldn't rush into a serious relationship with anyone at this point. You're still young and have time to work on self discovery.
Seems like you want balance, or someone to perhaps make you mature. I can understand where you're coming from.
