Is it normal to be afraid to open up canned bannans lol! seriously though

I bought this can of canned bananas from this Asian grocery store and just cant bring myself to open it. I never knew one could even can bananas. I don't know what to do with it when I open them...I searched online for recipes but nothing, just how to can them. It is just odd, is it because they are from a different country...am I racist?

    Yes. If you do not eat the foreign, canned bananas, you are a racist.

    It's the only logical explanation.

    Two years later and I finally opened them. They were also expired a year but they still seemed fine. They were weird and tasted slimy and brown?

      I have never tasted canned bananas but I'm 100% sure that fresh ones are way better. Why did you even buy it in the first place?

    Not something I've ever seen but many Asian takeaways here offer banana fritters (battered, deep fried, and served with honey). Failing that, banana bread? I'm not sure what canned bananas are like but I'm guessing they're less versatile than fresh. Canning stuff usually limits what you can do with it.

    ^ yeah, me neither!! But if you are curious enough to buy them, then you should be curious enough to open them. Mostly I'm just curious to know what canned bananas would look like. They are probably brown...and mushy.

    Just bananas? That's madness. Ive had bananas canned in a tropical mix thingy once and they were awesome. But it had papaya and pineapple to back it up. I don't think it would be very good without the companion fruit and pineapple juicey stuff.
