Is it normal to be afraid of your spouse?

I'm in a strong relationship, it's true and I'm happy. But I still feel inferior to him. I don't know if I'm just afraid of commitment or I'm afraid of his past. I don't know everything about him, is it normal to be afraid like this?

I don't think so. Love and fear are about as close to opposites as you can get, and no relationship involving fear is normal.

If you're afraid of something from his past, research it and if you find something bad leave him. Remaining with someone you're afraid of is foolish and illogical. If I were afraid of someone I wouldn't think about love or their feelings, I'd just leave as quickly and with as little drama as possible. People have fear and premonition for a reason; follow your animal instincts on this one.

it's normal to be afraid of commitments when you don't know about the person...take your time..get to know if more....make your decision wisely so your won't have to repent later.

  • I thought at first, maybe it's a trust thing. Or I'm overreacting but I think it's actual fear. Could it be our different personality?
