Is it normal to be afraid of space mountain

I'm here to share weird and kind of funny little things in my life happening now. But everything I say is true.
I'm going to Disney World next month for the first time in 11 years. While the awesome memories fly back to me, I still have a grudge against Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom. When I last rode it, I cried at the exit, but of course manned up shortly after. Now, 22 years old, I'm still sort of scared of it. I heard its been refurbished so I don't know what can be expected. Is it normal to be THIS freaked out for my age?

Haha I went on those rides at a very young age. Don't know how I managed to get passed the "you must be this tall----- to ride" signs but i did and they scared me at first but, after you go onto the NASCAR roller coaster inas Vegas, no other roller coaster feels as fast. But anyways I'm rambling. Not normal. Bing bang bam! Done.

Tower of Terror too...that should loosen you up.
If all else fails, since you're of age, just have a little drink to calm your nerves.

Go on Rock n Rollercoaster first, in Disney Studio's, it's a fantastic ride and Space Mountain will seem like nothing after that :)

Childhood trauma follows us throughout our lives unless resolved. When you go, you need to make sure you don't pass up the ride because confronting it should give you some sort of closure. You'll realize it's not as bad as it was when you were a kid.
