Is it normal to be able to predict a crush?

There is a fictional character I really like because she is so interesting (also she is super pretty) and I feel like I am developing a crush on her. I don't have a crush on her yet, but I feel like that's what it's going to turn into. Is it normal if I can predict that I am going to have a crush on someone?

Btw: I also like real girls. So don't give me comments like "forget about her and find a real girl".
