Is it normal to be a male webcam model?

So, I had some money issues and didn't feel comfortable asking anyone for help, as all the people I knew back then were facing similar problems. Because of that, I worked as a webcam model for over a year.

Personally, I didn't find it humiliating in any way, yet, maybe that's because I just got so used to it and even befriended many others doing the same. The ones that I knew, and me, were normal people. Your very friends could be webcam models and you would never know.

I never felt forced to do anything I didn't want to and I always had the chance to reject clients. I exposed myself naked and masturbated many times, but most of the time it was about chatting or watching people doing things.

To be honest, I had fun doing it. I liked the fact that I was getting a lot of attention, because in the real world I never got so much before. I had to do a lot of gay things, but I am comfortable with my sexuality, so it never really disturbed me that much.

My question is, what do you think of people doing this? More specifically, would you date a guy that has done something like this? Or, if you discovered that one of your closest friends was doing this, how would it make you feel?
