Is it normal to be a little heartbroken when they don't answer my comments?

When I read some quiestions in this page I try to be helpful, specially with questions that seem to be from insecure teenagers. I try to give my best advice and to be encouraging. And sometimes I log in to see if there was any answer, hahahahaha. I just hope my advice are any good, hahahaha.

    An Op doesn't have to answer back for you to know that your advice was good.

    I have noticed that it is the thing to be derisive and derogatory to a poster who might make a sarcastic or derogatory reply, but when the same poster makes an intelligent and helpful reply to a serious and well written thread, few bother to acknowledge the contribution positively. This double standard certainly detracts from the validity of any post someone makes.
