Is it normal to be a homebody

I wonder if people judge homebodies like me negatively.
Whenever i'm talking to someone and they're telling me their plans for the weekend mine are always staying in to watch a movie.
I dont feel very bothered by this so im not sure why anyone should care and if so why they bother me if they think im a sad person but I dont know. I know you are supposed to go out and do things with people and I do go out for walks but I am a homebody and a major introvert.

WTF is a "homebody"? Someone who prefers to spend their weekends at home? Why is there a special word for this?

Sometimes I like to goof off at home during the weekends, drink beer, play GTA V and watch movies. That doesn't make me any kind of body.

Why is "weekend warrior" also a thing?! Going out for a light jog, a bike ride, or camping with friends doesn't make you an adventurer! Call me when you've done something amazing, like cross a desert, climb a treacherous mountain, cross an ocean in a wind powered yacht, discover a new plant, cross a country with a dirtbike, without using any paved roads... That's adventuring... I love mountain hiking, roasting sausages over an open fire, telling my friends lame dad jokes and sleeping off my drunkness in a tent, but I'm no adventurer. Just an average guy on vacation.

Who comes up with these stupid words? Why must everything have some pointless marketing name?

And yes, it's normal, you are free to enjoy your weekends as you please and whoever judges you, can go play in traffic.

Don’t worry about “what you’re supposed to do. That’s your ‘rents talking. Live the way you want, as long as you get adequate exercise to keep your body healthy.
