I don’t know why, but as a gay man I’ve always had a negative bias towards bisexual women. I know it’s bad and I’m trying to be more open minded, but all of the bisexuals I’ve met are overly promiscuous and crazy.
Lesbian here. I'd say your resentment towards bi women is irrational and a result of 1) not knowing enough bisexual women and 2) seeing promiscuity as inherently a bad thing. The "crazy, promiscuous bisexual woman" is a stereotype same as the stereotype of the effeminate, sex-obsessed gay man and the masculine, man-hating lesbian. And frankly, I'm sick of all the division and in-fighting in the LGBT community. We don't have to necessarily like each other, but we should at least treat each other as individuals.
I just wonder why them being overly promiscuous and crazy is reason to resent them? The ones that are like that are just doing their own thing, just like you are.
I'm bisexual AND promiscuous, but I don't think one necessarily has anything to do with the other! I would be promiscuous regardless! I just love sex!
Maybe you resent bi women for the same reason some women resent gay men, ie the competition?
Anyway, none of your business how promiscuous anyone else is, just as your sexuality is nobody else's business.
I'm pan, which is just bi with in betweens I guess, and I've only slept with one person. Only dated two. Nothing promiscuous here.
As a bisexual woman, I'm sorry that you had to go through that. It's a bit prejudiced, so I'd probably recommend working on it. Don't let one bad apple ruin the whole bunch
Absolutely agree. But I'm not a big fan of bisexual men either for the same reason.
Well, now you've met a couple of bi women in the comments who aren't crazy or promiscuous. I've formally dated, kissed, and had sex with one guy that I've been faithfully with for three years.
That's not normal though. Its good that you recognize how wrong you are, but it's going to take effort and perhaps therapy.
