Is it normal to be a diabetic alcoholic?

My roommate has type 1 diabetes and has an insulin pump. He drinks all the time and gets passed out and I'm afraid I'll find him dead one day. He thinks it's fine to chug booze and them pump himself with insulin. It freaks me out he is so blasé about his health. He only does it on weekends, but EVERY weekend. Is it even my business?

    Dude! If he dies who's going to pay his share of rent?

    Woah, he really couldn't care less, huh? On a side note I read "diabetic alcoholic" as "diabolic lovers" at first lol.

    My friend is an alcoholic, diabetic, cocaine-using, gambling, insomniac who also has depression and social anxiety. So you're roommate is healthy compared to him.

    You said 'roommate' instead of friend and I'll take you at your word.
    He's a big boy now and responsible for his own actions;
    Every person has an intrinsic responsibility for their own life. No one else can (or should) take on that responsibility.
