Is it normal to be 25 and still have no idea what i want to do with my life?

I'm 25 and I still haven't got the slightest clue what field I want to work in. Since high school, I've gone through literally dozens and dozens of different phases of wanting to do different things, but after being into one thing for a few months, I get over it and move onto something else. My parents seem to be very frustrated that I can't choose something and that I've never been able to hold down a real job because of this.

I'm a bit older and I'm not thrilled with what I'm currently doing. I'd love to be able to go back to school and have a different career but it doesn't look like that will ever happen. I'll just continue this way I guess. It could be worse.

  • I'm in the exact same position, i also am 25 and have no idea at all what to do. I try not to worry though, for a career is just something to pass the time until we pass away. I'm happy with floating all over the place for life.

I'm 19, ive tried many many different jobs, after 3 months or so, I hate that job, quit and try something else then the same happens, at first i like the job then i begin to loose interest and hate it so much, i cant stand it, then i quit again. It feels like my life has no *ing purpose

Same here. I would love to have more than one job and work in different fields. Maybe you should do that? You have to create stability at some point in your life.

I'm in exactly the same position. I'm 21 and feel like every university day is a waste; I'm burning my days one at a time, doing nothing really important or interesting. It's just waiting and waiting for something to happen. I'm not sure what to do but I don't think I'm gonna stay like this for long. Maybe travel, don't know.

I don't know if it's normal, but I am a bit older and not sure, either. I just tell myself that with each possibility I try, I'm getting closer to the one right career for me.

Im in the same boat but im 21 (in september). I feel like my whole life after high school has just been going to waste. But nothing in college interests me. I have a couple friends taking general studies and when I ask what they're doing after that they say, "I dont know". I dont want to do that. Waste money on college and still be in the same position. But idk I guess we'll all figure it out....I hope.
