Is it normal to always feel like you're going to be fired from your job

So basically I've been working at this grocery store for around 15 months now. I really like my job, however I always have this anxiety that I'm going to be fired.

I have asperger syndrome and in general I always feel guilty. For example I'll make a comment at work to one of the supervisors and immediatly afterward I'll feel like "that wasn't appropriate, why the fuck did i say that?" That leads to a guilt/social anxiety and I always feel nervous and guilty in social situations.

So is this normal to feel like this?

  • I always feel like that, think its because of my lack of self confidence? Sometimes I quit before "they can fire me"

You enjoy your job and you have been there for 15 months, if no one has had a problem with you so far chances are they know you well enough to know your remarks are innocent so I wouldn't worry about it =) I'm one of those people who joke about really sick subjects and I am happily married to a job that involves me being the only one on a front counter dealing with customers face to face, so far my sick sense of humour and I have survived!
