Is it normal to always be thirsty?

I am always thirsty. I can drink four pretty big glases of water per hour and im still parched. My mother tells me that I have to drink more water, but I don't think she realized how much I drink already, because with the water I drink little glasses of whatever kind of drink I can find if I can't find my water glass. Over all I probably drink about five gallons of liquid a day and it NEVER HELPS. Any suggestions on whats wrong with me? I'd really appreciate the advice.

Just like the people above have said, you are at an extremely high risk for diabetes. Thirst is a classic sign. Your body is trying to fight off excess sugar in your blood stream by diluting it with extra water intake.

You could die if you aren't seen soon. Go as soon as you read this.

You do need to see a Dr. soon, you said you consume 5 gallons of fluid a day but did not mention if you excrete as much fluid as well. Diabetes has a sign indicated by excessive thirst, but diabetes insipidus is another disorder related to head injury that has signs of excessive thirst and fluid excretion you should see a doctor soon DI and diabetes are treatable. Intentional fluid overload is dangerous please see your doctor soon.
