Is it normal the shed excessively?

I know we are supposed to lose 50-100 strands of hair a day, but I feel I shed excessively. I'm not balding or anything like that and this has been happening for years now so it's not new. Its so bad that I will give my bf a hug and next thing you know there is a long hair dangling from his chin! It's just gross. I put my hair in a tight bun while cooking and they still seam to escape! I mean is this normal?

It's not necessarily hair loss but it can be. Hair loss can be a long and gradual process, where you notice shedding years before your hair gets noticeably thinning.

Not saying this to worry you, it might be fine, but you could see a dermatologist if you're not sure and it's worrying you.

Also tight buns are terrible for your hair and scalp, they can cause hair loss. Women don't tend to go completely bald like men do though.

Some days when I brush my hair I think I'm moulting, other days nothing. Normal I'd say.
