That happens to me too. The medicine is usually revolting so I "jerk afterwards" because its so nasty. It's hard to explain.

It is unlikely that the medicine managed to make it into your bloodstream and to any sort of organ within seconds of you swallowing it. In fact, I'd say it's pretty damn impossible (unless you inhaled cocain smoke, rubbed it on your gums, or did something similar). It is therefore not likely to be caused by the medicine itself.
It is much likelier a something similar to the placebo effect. You think that you'll jerk after taking medication, therefore you do.
I agree with this answer it may have only happened once or twice and now you just expect it to happen if you want to stop jerking then it would be advisable to try distracting yourself while taking the medication like play video games if your young or perhaps if your older than that read the newspaper and then just simply take a drink and swallow the tablets also you could try to get a liquid version which may be easier to take but won't stop your jerking while taking tablets.
Actually, I tried that this morning to see if it would work. And it, to my surprise, did work 100%! It could've been a coincidence, but I doubt it.
I take liquid medicine. I don't know if that's the problem, where I think I will jerk.
