Is it normal that when i shower i have to turn the knob all the way to hot?

Like, as soon as I turn the shower on I put it all the way to hot and then adjust it down from there. I don't know, almost as if I'm making sure that hot is that way and cold is the other way so I can make sure I don't get burnt?

I just do it, every time. I wonder if it's normal.

    i do that 2...i gues its just soo you see its hot then adjust it to how u want the water to be...

    i turn it up all the way to get the water warmer faster, if that's what you mean?

    if you stop doing that then you could save money on your water and heating bills.
