Is it normal that when i'm sad & i listen to really sad songs it cheers me up?

When I'm sad I listen to really sad songs like Paradise Lost, Pain, The Loss, Black Dahlia (all by Hollywood Undead), etc. and they cheer me up pretty quickly. Does this happen to anyone else? Is it normal or weird?

i have one song for when i reallt feeling down, it feel really powerful to mefor some reason. and it blocked youtube for some probaably legeal reason, but i found a link for you.

it not a happy song, it seems to gather all my feelings and slowly feeds them to a burn and they drift away from my mind

Well yeah. That's because it makes you feel (subconsciously)as though you're not alone. It makes you realize(again subconsciously)that other people are going through shit in their lives as well. Even though it's only lyrical that is.

  • Yea same here. It reminds me that others can have shitty days. Lol. Makes me happy to know I'm not the only one that can feel the way I sometimes feel.
