Is it normal that when i hold my pee in for a long time, it begins to hurt?

When I hold my urine for 3+ hours, it begins to hurt until I go shortly after. I don't enjoy holding it I just do it out of habit. IIN?

    How do you not know this? Yes. This is your body's way of telling you to eliminate that waste. The bladder is only so big and is constantly refilling itself. If you don't go, it causes pain and allows sediment to form which leads to kidney stones and a poorly functioning bladder.

    My bladder disappears after holding it in 30 minutes. I don't urinate on my self, my urine just...disappears.
