Is it normal that weed and alcohol mixed together don't get you high or drunk?

hey, yesterday, i smoked alot of pot, 3 joints and almost 10 pipes and drink 5-6 beers.

i took the beers first and i felt 'feeling' and then, i smoked weed and i got very high, and then, like 10 minutes after the last pipe, i started to freak out (for 15-20minutes) and then, i wasnt controling anything and i was kinda high and a little bit drunk?

is that normal to have a trip like that?? (ive been high and drunk many times, but it was my first time mixing them (in those proportions) )

    i notice when im really,really drunk and i can feel a burning of alcohol fumes in my lungs,smoking weed can give me crazy ass nausea,almost enjoyable,but really intense.i wouldnt recommend smoking weed while ur absolutly plastered.but when i got a sweet ass buzz going on,smoking a fat ass blunt gives me a nice euphoric feeling,and my vision gets a little fuzzy,plus the floaty stomach feeling.something good 2 know smoking weed makes ur gag reflex relax so u have a harder time throwing up,so if uve ingested a fatal amount of alcohol,u aint gonna get it out of u as easy,peace......

    If I'm drinking steadily and I smoke a lot I get really bad vertigo; but it was probably cus it was your first time mixing. My advice, when mixing weed and alcohol, less is more. Too much of either can make a bad mix, learned this after a few rough nights hugging the porcelin god. XD
