Is it normal that this really chaps my ass?

Alright, so I'm over 16 but I've only had my driver's license for about a month and this month is the first time I've ever driven in the snow. I was stopped at a busy intersection and was in the left turn lane. The light was green but I didn't have an arrow yet and there were cars coming, and since the ground was covered in snow and it was slick I didn't feel safe turning and decided to wait when the person behind me honked their horn. I still didn't feel safe so I didn't go and they blared it again. I honked back and shortly after I got the arrow to go I kinda stomped on the gas after I turned and it made the wheels squeal.

I probably made an ass of myself but it really chaps my ass when I don't turn fast enough for people. It doesn't happen all the time and I usually just ignore it when it does, but yeah. Anyone else hate this, or are you usually the one honking?

I can get a bit road ragey but when people honk at me for shit like that it makes me do the opposite of what they want. I was in a left turn lane and my arrow had gone away so the traffic going in the opposite direction started going and the asshole behind me wouldn't stop honking at me. He wanted me to move up so we could both squeeze through when the light turned yellow. I did not move up :) We still had some red light cameras at the time and I was not going to get a ticket in the mail because of this clown. He wasn't too happy. Bwahahaha!!!

I don't know what the hell the other guy was honking at? I don't think your allowed to turn left until you have a green arrow.
I probably would have given him the finger.

    • Not usually but it's one of those stoplights where it says you can turn without an arrow after yielding and the guy got mad because I didn't. I thought about doing that lol.

Keeping a cool head is key to ensuring the safely of yourself and other road users.

Considering it is your first time driving in the snow, did you have an experienced driver in the car?

If someone honk, the best thing is not be pressured into make hastened decisions that can put yourself and others into danger.

    • Yeah, I usually don't act like that but I guess I just got sick of it and snapped. I'll try to control myself better from now on.

At that time I didn't, but earlier that day my mom had me drive her to the store and I think one other place to see how I would do. She said I did a good job so she let me go back out by myself.
