I have a fetish for fire. Along with this, I get aroused by various smells of burning, and by a few certain smells in particular. I'm wondering if it is normal for people without an actual fetish for fire to be aroused by some of the same kinds of scents.

      No, I'm not trolling like most people think, and I don't blame them for not beleiving me, it does sound pretty outrageous.

      I've searched for psycology literature on it and even most of the experts don't believe it's real, so I don't blame people for not taking it seriously. By posting I have found a few people who have similar feelings, and by discussing it with others it helps us all to be more comfortable with who we are and what we like.

      I'm an extreme case of these examples, I've done more than fantasize about it, I really do it, and so do a few others. I've learned over a lifetime how to be safe and only get burned minorly. I've found the smells involved with burning myself or my partner are a big part of the arousal for me. Do you know what fire on skin smells like? Pass your fingertip through a lighter or candle flame, quickly enough so you just feel a warm touch, and smell your finger. That's the smell.
