Is it normal that the new movie the fault in our stars pisses me off?

That guy would never go for that sickly girl. It's so unrealistic. I won't see it!!!

He's sickly too, don't you forget. Even at the start of the story he has a history of life-threatening illness and a limb amputation. It isn't like Augustus and Hazel occupy completely opposite ends of the health spectrum :P

I think the traditional Hollywood Love is what is unrealistic. I appreciate the story of The Fault In Our Stars precisely because it's realistic, insofar as it approaches human emotion unironically and directly and plausibly, with all the melodrama and exaggeration which characterize teenage love. The characters accurately portray what a real teenage relationship looks like, because the characters use the same logic that real teenagers do.

It's normal that you hate TFiOS. I do too. But your reason is kinda judgemental. Like come on, plenty of good looking guys go for ugly girls (and Shailene Woodley isn't even ugly.) Attractiveness is subjective and did you know sometimes people are attracted to other people's personalities? ooh shocker

I know a guy who stuck with a girl in a long ditance relationship who claimed to have had cancer in a weird way of spending a few years to end a relationship.

Depressing story, yes, and I'm sure he won't stick around for anyone else, but it is possible.

What?? I've seen this before where a teenage boy went out with a teenager with cancer before and he stuck with her for months until the very end. Look it up, this happened more than once!
