Is it normal that the hotter your ring after a fart the worse it smells

Virtually every morning I need to do a pretty big fart, so as not to wake the wife I generally part the cheeks a bit and let it out soundlessly. As the air rushes out it's cool to the ring and never smells.

However, when I drop a stinker it's always followed by a hot ring.

Firstly is this cool-air, non smelly, morning fart normal? Secondly is it a case of 'hotter the ring, smellier the fart?

    OMG i just lol'd so hard at this that i was in tears and now my lungs hurt XD. well anyway i think its pretty normal. and i can tell you why its hotter and or "burns" when it stinks, though to me i think of it as "spicy" XD. anyway its bc of bacteria. the more bacteria the more its gonna stink. i know my ass is clean considering 99% of the time my farts dont smell bad. but the bacteria causes it to burn. this concept goes along with when you shit.

    From personal experience, a hot ring only indicates that a spicy or semi-spicy food was eaten to produce it. This does produce a smelly fart. HOWEVER, a smelly fart is not always caused by a hot ring/spicy food; for example, a night of drinking beer will produce cold rings along with nasty fucking farts.

    A quick Venn diagram would demonstrate that while all hot rings produce smelly farts, there is an overlap wherein some cold rings produce smelly farts also. QED
